The annual ‘friendly’ between Cadder and Alma took place last Friday. Cadder B got off to good start – the Alma team only had three players! In terms of curling the good start continued until Alma B found their length and direction and took a 5 in the 5th end. This countered Cadder A’s 5 in the 4th end! Overall result was 18-16 to Cadder to ensure that Alma retained the wooden spoon. We reconvened in the Lenzie Golf Club where drinks and food were to be had. Thank you to everyone who took part, in the spirit that curling always intended. Thank you also to Charles Jackson who arranged the evening, the purvey and for the extra helpings of pies, beans and chips! Thank you to John Ferguson for the photos. A wonderful, social occasion.
